Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane

Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane, led by Associate Professor Dr. Somporn Harnphanich, Vice Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Bangkok Chain Hospital Public Company Limited, together with Dr. Surapan Taweewigyakorn, Executive Director of Bangkok Chain Hospital Public Company Limited, Dr. Wattana Parisri, Hospital Director of Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane, Dr. Kalin Phanommas, Medical Director, along with the hospital’s medical team, nursing staff, and management, warmly welcomed the surveyors from the Joint Commission International (JCI), a globally recognized healthcare accreditation body based in the United States, during the evaluation conducted from 15 – 18 September 2025.

The assessment was carried out in accordance with the JCI Accreditation Standards for Hospitals: 8th Edition, covering organizational management systems, patient-centered medical services, safety and professional quality standards, as well as facility safety and environmental responsibility.

Upon completion of the survey, Kasemrad International Hospital Vientiane was officially awarded JCI Accreditation on 19 September 2025, making it the first hospital in Lao PDR to achieve this prestigious international recognition.

This accreditation reflects the hospital’s strong commitment to continuously enhancing healthcare quality and safety, while building trust among patients, families, and the community, both in Laos and internationally. It also represents a significant milestone for the Lao healthcare system, showcasing the country’s growing capabilities and alignment with global healthcare standards.
